Meditation

As usual I got up before six.I went to do the tikek with the group.Instead of being in the row,I was alone  not far from them to be able to hear the music and to practice observing my breath  at the same time.In so doing, I felt tense in my right temple.WHY?.Did I focus too much on the breath?Did I control my breath instead of trying too observe it?.Would it be bad  for my health in the long run?  Should I stop being too much concious about the breath?
